Let God Fight Your Battles

For the Lord your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. (Deuteronomy 20:4)

I remember when I was in college and there was this one professor who seemed to have a problem with everyone who did not suck up to him. Every assignment I and some of the other ladies in the class did was not up to his standard — he wanted it done the way he would do it. We were all worried about failing the course so, some of the ladies decided they were going to bring a complaint to the Dean of the school. When I was asked if I would participate and go along with them; I was adamant when I let them know that I did not fight my battles on my own—GOD DID. On more than one occasion I was asked and my answer remained the same. My faith in God did not waiver as to whether or not I would pass the course because I trusted in the faithfulness of God. Let’s just say I got the credit I needed and all I did was leave it to God.

This is one of the many situations where I let God take charge; instead of trying to fight my battles alone. I knew these situations were beyond my control, and I needed God’s intervention. Faith in God can move mountains and that was a mountain that needed to be removed. Fear is not an option, neither is failure, it is a complete lie from the pit of hell. We can only defeat what we are not willing to accept. Faith in God is what we all need to get through life. Every day we are on the battlefield, but we do not have to go in it alone.

“We can only defeat what we are not willing to accept.”

Loraine Blake

No matter what you are going through, have faith and trust God. He will never disappoint you. Let Him fight your battles. Once you believe you already have the victory. The Battle is mine, says the Lord. God created us to have dominion over the enemy, not the other way around. Do not take defeat from the devil, fight with everything you have on your knees before Him.

Father, thank you that you’re always fighting the enemy on my behalf. I know that every day I am in warfare against Satan and his demons, but only you God can give me the victory. I will not let the devil use fear to cause me not to trust you. You alone are God and there is none other like you. Thank you that I do not have to worry about the outcome because the battle has already been won, in Jesus name.
Amen!
